Babe. Pig In The City

George Miller, the originating director of the Mad Max films, takes over the directorial reins for this much darker sensibility with this sequel to the hugely successful family movie, Babe, co-written by him with Judy Morris and Mark Lamprell. Many critics panned the film because of this finding its humour too black for the littlies but the shift from horribly twee to quietly twisted will please ironists no end. Dark side aside, it's a wonderfully-made film with hi-jinks a-plenty and what kid will resist a film with talking animals?

FYI: Whilst James Cromwell and Magda Szubanski returned as the Hoggetts. this time around Babe's voice was provided by E.G. Daily a fellow Rugrat to Christine Cavanaugh who did the honours in the first film.
